Hat Pins for Scrapbooking and Cardmaking

I love those beautiful and colorful hat pins for scrapbooking and cardmaking and have been thinking that I could easily make them myself. This morning I decided to gather my craft supplies and try making these hat pins.

By the way, they are also known as stick pins or decorative straight pins. Many scrapbookers use them in their scrapbook pages as well as in their handmade cards as embellishments. I believe that adding one or two of these hat pins would certainly enhance your creation and at the same time adds value to your scrapbook page or card.
If you are selling your handmade cards and would like to add one-of-a-kind decorative straight pins to them, then you should design and make your own.

Why You Should Make Your Own Hat Pins

  • to make your scrapbook page, or handmade card unique.
  • to add value to your handmade creations so that you can sell at a higher price.
  • to save cost unless you are able to buy hat pins in bulk at wholesale prices.
  • to save time hunting for one that will match the mood and style of your design.

You can make it vintage or retro to match the style you need for your page or handmade card. Beads are aplenty in the jewelry making section of any craft stores. And they are inexpensive too if you buy a jumbo pack of assorted beads.
